High Atlas Experience
Marrakech City Tour with a Local Guide
Day 1
Discovering Marrakech
Meet your local guide at your accommodation and begin exploring Marrakech, widely known as Morocco’s Red City. The morning walking tour takes you through the historic medina and introduces you to some of the city’s most important cultural and architectural landmarks, including the Koutoubia Mosque and minaret, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Continue through the narrow alleys of the medina and Marrakech’s traditional souks, where artisans and merchants sell leather goods, carpets, spices, jewellery, lanterns and other Moroccan handicrafts. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant near Jemaa el-Fna Square or at another place of your choice. In the afternoon, travel outside the medina to visit Majorelle Garden, followed by a short drive through Gueliz, Marrakech’s modern district.
At the end of the tour, you can return to your accommodation or finish the day at Jemaa el-Fna Square, where musicians, storytellers, performers and food stalls create a lively evening atmosphere.
